Ebisu Japanese Restaurant (Kamei Group), Richmond
Ebisu Japanese Restaurant, part of the Kamei Group has opened several locations in Vancouver and Richmond. One that we normally frequent is the Richmond one since it is close to work which makes a great place for Happy Hour. Cheap beer, wings, and also a great place to watch the game. Service here is friendly and the menu offers variety. Sushi quality may not be the finest, average at best, but it is the convenience and late nights which entices us.
Happy Hour Sapporo 12.99 and Sake 8.95 + 0.49 wings or 0.99 oysters = yummy!
Samurai Power 11.95: crab meat, avocado, BBQ Unagi and topped with red and black tobiko and wasabi cream sauce.
Chikuwa Cheese 5.50: fish surimi stuffed with cheese is delicious!
Thunder Fries = Girant Yam Fries!
Beef Tataki 12.95: although not always tender and melt in your mouth. The portions are not bad.
Ebi Mayo 9.95: A few heavy batter prawns.
Ebisu Roll 13.50: mango, avocado, cucumber, salmon and cream cheese lit on fire in aburi style.
Mango California Roll 9.50: A refreshing roll to our usual suspect.
Negitoro Roll 3.95: Sometimes the tuna is sparing but overall taste is not too bad.
Drop by if you are looking for a space to watch the game and some cheap Japanese beer. The sushi rice won’t leave a weird after taste !
