Although there are many locations for La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop, my favorite remains with the one on Cambie and Broadway. 1) It is convenient. A few steps away my salon and barely 5 mins walk away from Tenth Church. 2) The decor and art is beautiful (I never really picked up on this until one rainy night). 3) Great cheap eats!

Meat tacos $2.50 each or $9.50 for 4… Remember to like them on Facebook – often times they will hosts specials and you will get the 5th taco for free!.

There is a great selection and sometimes it stumps us which one to order. But we always find joy in their De Cachete (braised beef cheeks); Carnitas (pork confit); Tinga de Pollo (chicken with chorizo); and Pescado (fish). Their soft tacos is always my favorite.

Carnitas (pork confit) with red pickled onions. There wasn’t a lot of pork flavor and shallowed in comparison to the De Cachete, but it is still very tender and moist.

De Cachete (braised beef cheeks); rich deep flavors of garlic, peppercorns and bay leaves. White onions and cilantro is always a great addition.

Pescado (fish): What a terrible picture that is. The focus was off and I must be drunk. This fish taco is ligher with grilled white fish that is tangy but slightly mushy. Definitely not my favorites.

Tinga de Pollo (chicken with chorizo): Everytime I de pollo it reminds me of Breaking Bad. But this bad ass taco is soft, tender with a little spicy kick.

Jarritos Mango Soda: Again I am reunited with this fizzy drink which I had at Playa del Carmen. How I long for the white sandy beaches of Barcelo Maya Palace Resort again. But until them I can still dream about it sipping one of my favorite mango fizzies!

They are closed Sundays! This is something we always forget…
