Chill Winston, Vancouver (gastown)
Chill Winston is a sexy restaurant and lounge located in Gastown on 3 Alexander St, Vancouver. I great location for after work happy hours and late night drinks with friends. Party district, hipster central and a see-and-to-be-seen places, you can always come to enjoy a full wine list and great cocktails with unique desserts.
Vintage, brick room and comfy chairs lined with bar tables and a few lounge chairs to relax in. On hot summer days, enjoy a few drinks on their patio, the abundances of seats on the corner in front of Guilt & Co. becomes iconic and very agreeable with beautiful summer days in Vancouver.

Normally I come here for drinks and to chill after long day of work. A beer or a class of wine really helps wash a tiring day away. What I haven’t tried much of is their food (which is actually quite well portioned and delicious).
Duck Tacos $16
Part of the appetizer menu, this dish is meant for sharing! It is extremely well portioned and enough as an entree. Soft tender duck marinated in hoisin sauce with cabbage and soft tacos to wrap.
Double Jack Poutine $9

The Canadian classic with Jack Daniels demi glace, cheese curds, cheddar, and Monterey jack cheeses. Comes on a square skillet loaded with cheese. Consume fast otherwise it gets rather soggy
Meat and Cheese Platter

Anti-pasti of cheese, jam (apricot, fig, and berries) and various cured meats (prosciutto, salami, etc).
Breakfast of Champions $5
Roasted banana bavarois, nutella ganache, malted whipped cream, and rustic croutons tossed in brown butter with a hint of smoked salt
Toasted Almond & Vanilla Bean Nougat $5
A soft white creamy consistency of nougat. Grapefruit to balance the sweetness. Avocado puree was interesting – tart and salty. Personally I rather not mix it into my nougat.
Truffles $5

Assortment of delicate truffle chocolates.
Red: Torres Gran Coronas Cabernet (Penedes, Spain)
A delicious and balanced red with full bodied notes of black fruit, vanilla, smoke, dark spices and mocha. I could’ve had the whole bottle all to myself!

I haven’t been there in a long time, but I can tell you there’s no doubt in my mind that if I wanted to crack open a bottle of wine and just chat with a friend, this would be the place to do it. But I honestly don’t know if the food is worth the price, but the ambiance is great and a great place to chat up other people.
